European arrest warrants had already been issued for the pair after cops discovered they had fled to the UK following David Mota’s brutal killing, local paper Correio da Manha said.
Correio da Manha said two of the three suspects fled to the UK the week after the crime, thought to have been planned by an acquaintance of Mota Jr who is known to police.
The names of the suspects have begun to circulate on social media but have not been published by local media.
No-one from Portugal’s Policia Judiciaria police force could be reached for comment this morning.
Mota Jr was known to flaunt gold jewellery and wads of cash on social media.
One of the photos posted to his 169,000 followers on Instagram before he went missing showed him lying on a bed surrounded by 50 euros with 500 and 200 euro notes in his left hand.
In others he showed off expensive sports cars and in the company of scantily-clad women.
The suspects reportedly returned to his home the day after the rapper’s disappearance to steal his gold and money while his family were at a nearby police station giving statements.
They are said to have let themselves in a with a key they stole from their victim after he confessed under duress where he kept his valuables.
Police have ruled out the theory his death was linked to a “rapper war” despite investigating claims of problems between rival musicians.
Mota Jr’s mum Filomena has told Portuguese media she believes his attackers intended to rob him but not kill him.
Police have already interviewed a friend of the dead rapper’s who says she was threatened by David’s attackers who told her to leave the area after they put a weapon to his head.

The rapper’s mum Filomena told local news outlet TVI how she received an early-hours call from a neighbour saying she had found David’s flip-flops and cap in the entrance hall to the block of flats where he lived with his family.
She said: “I went to check on David and he wasn’t in his bedroom like I thought he was.
“I’d heard the front door shut earlier but thought it was a friend he’d been with who was leaving.
“When I went downstairs after the neighbour’s call, I discovered specks of blood on the floor by the lift and I called the police.”
